DIY Snowflake Jar | How To Make a Snowflake Jar

Hello! Today, I'm going to show you how to make a snowflake jar. This DIY mason jar idea is really cute and is perfect for a DIY winter decor idea.

This DIY snowflake jar can be easy or hard depending on how you make the snowflake template.

Lets get started!

What you will need for this snowflake jar is a jar, a pencil, a paintbrush, paint, twine or ribbon, scissors, x-acto knife, and masking tape.

First you want to make or print out a template of a snowflake. I did make part of the snowflake and then I traced around it a few times to make a full snowflake.

Then I cut out two pieces of tape and overlapped them to create a bigger larger  drawing space for my snowflake.

Now you can trace the snowflake template onto the tape. If you make the snowflake with a lot of lines or whatever shapes you use, it will take a long time to cut it out and there is a possibility the paint might go under the tape and the lines of the snowflake can be gone or barely be there.

Then you can cut it out with a x-acto knife or scissors.

After your done cutting the snowflake out, place the snowflake onto the front of the jar.

Now you can paint the jar with two or more coats of paint.

When the jar is dry you can take off the tape. If the paint went under the tape you can scratch it off with an x-acto knife to clean up the snowflake and be careful because the knife is sharp.

You can tie a bow with ribbon or twine onto the jar and you can put anything into the jar like a fake candle.

and that's it! In the comments down below let me know what you think about this snowflake jar.
