3 Easy DIY Valentine Bookmarks

Hello there! In this post and in the video I'm going to show you how to make bookmarks that are all Valentine's Day themed. You'll be learning how to make a conversation bookmark, a xoxo bookmark, and a heart balloon bookmark.

I love how all of these bookmarks came out! My favorites are the conversation heart bookmark and the heart balloon bookmark. Which one is your favorite?

You can watch the video here or you can watch the video on YouTube by clicking here or by clicking on the video.

Conversation Heart Bookmark

DIY Conversation Heart Bookmark

1. Take a pencil and a ruler and measure out your bookmark to be 2 x 6 inches on a piece of white cardstock paper and then you want to cut your bookmark out.

2. Draw out as many hearts that you want onto the bookmark with a pencil.

3. Go over the hearts you just drew with a pen.

4. Color the hearts any color with markers or with something else. I made my hearts blue, pink, and yellow.

5. If you want you can make the hearts look like they're more 3d instead of looking flat by adding a border on the bottom or on one side of the hearts.

6. You can finish off the hearts by writing a word into each heart with a pen. I wrote cute, xoxo, and sweet into each heart.

7. If there's any pencil markings you can erase them.

8. Put a hole into the bookmark with a hole puncher.

9. Take a piece of ribbon or something else and fold it in half.

10. Run the loop through the front of the bookmark and you can pull the ends of the what you used through the loop and then you're all done with the bookmark.

XOXO Bookmark

DIY XOXO Bookmark

1. Take a pencil and a ruler and measure out your bookmark to be 2 x 6 inches on a piece of pink or another color of cardstock paper and then you want to cut your bookmark out.

2. Take a pencil and you want to lightly write the letters XOXO or something else onto the bookmark and make sure you leave room for a hole at the top for later.

Each of the letters that I made are about 1 inches tall.

3. Then you can paint in the letters with any color that you want. I painted my letters white

4. When the paint is dry you can erase any pencil markings.

5. Put a hole into the bookmark with a hole puncher.

6. Cut five pieces of yarn that's any length.

7. After you're done cutting the pieces of yarn, you want to bunch all of the pieces of yarn together and then you want to fold it in half.

8. Take the folded part and twist it. Twisting the yarn helps running the yarn through the hole.

9. Then you can run the loop through the front of the bookmark and then you can pull the ends of the yarn through the loop and pull

10. The last thing you can do is that you can trim the yarn and you're all done.

Heart Balloon Bookmark

1. Take a pencil and a ruler and measure out your bookmark to be 2 x 6 inches on a piece of white cardstock paper and then you want to cut it out.

2. Draw out one or more heart balloons with a pencil.

3. Go over the heart balloons with a pen.

4. Paint the balloons red or another color.

5. When the balloons are dry and if you want, you can take a pencil and dip it into white paint and you can make a white line on each balloon to show that there's light shining on each balloon.

6. When the paint is dry and if you want you can write the word love at the top of the bookmark with a pen.

7. If there's any pencil markings you can erase them off of the bookmark.

8. Put a hole at the top of the bookmark with a hole puncher and then you can get a piece of twine or something else and fold it in half.

9. Then you can run the loop through front of the bookmark and then you can take the ends and run it through the loop and then you're all done with your heart balloon bookmark.
